The Black Crown (Italy) have released an official lyric video for the track "Forge". The video was produced by Hattori Hanzo of Rain Pixel Creative Solutions.

The Black Crown mastermind Paolo Navarretta states: "I'm pretty excited to announce the release of the Lyric Video of the song "Forge", taken from our debut album 'Fragments'. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Riksha have released the Official Music Video for the track "Shovel It" taken from their upcoming album 'Five Stages of Numb' to be released via Zombie Shark Records in June.

Salt Lake City’s RIKSHA have inked a worldwide deal with Zombie Shark Records, the new record label from Noah “Shark” Robertson (Motograter, Ex-The Browning). The band’s latest album ‘Five Stages Of Numb’ was recorded at Elevate Studios by notable producer and drummer for Chelsea Grin, Pablo Viveros. Album art was provided by Die Elster.

Riksha's NEW single "Five Stages of Numb" is currently streaming on Spotify here: open.spotify.com/album/3GddLzEKDvnKmdG8rctQqg

The band has released a computer animated music video for the title-track “Five Stages of Numb” produced by Vladyslav Tsarenko which can be viewed here: youtu.be/g3Vyz8OkTEE

Riksha’s sound is affectionately known as “throg”, a mixture of “thrash” and “progressive”. The band can best be compared to groove metal and nu metal bands such as Mudvayne, Tool, Pantera, Coal Chamber, Soulfly, Nothingface, and American Head Charge.

Riksha frontman Palmer states, “We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Zombie Shark Records and the great bands they represent.”

Riksha have released 2 previous studio albums recorded by Bruce Kirby at Boho Digitalia Studios - ‘Dream Drops Red’ released through Dark Harvest Records and the independently released ‘Night Begins’. Riksha burned up the underground metal scene in 2012, winning Project Independent’s “Industry Panel Favorite” voted on by a panel of producers, A&R reps, and record company owners. Since then, the band has purchased a 1973 Eagle Tour Bus and has hit the road throughout the US. Riksha is currently making plans to tour the U.S. in support of their upcoming release.

Zombie Shark Records label manager Michael Boodagh states, “Riksha is a growing artist that is continually perfecting their craft. I am pleased to welcome them to the ZSR team! I can't wait to see what comes next!”

Riksha takes four guys and squeezes out as much sound and energy as possible. With a combination of both melodic and in your face vocal and guitar styles, Riksha hammers away with a musical montage of aggression, power, and strength to create a new and bold sound.

Keychain interview ... See MoreSee Less

New Metal 4U Exclusive Interview with Keychain (Zombie Shark Records) [Interview by Andrew Canfield] Andrew: Alright I’m here with Keychain! I just have a few questions for you guys. Simple, quick interview so we can see what you guys think and stuff like that. What other music do you guys listen to? What are some of your personal influences? Cody: Personally, I was always a huge fan of Limp Bizkit. Over the past couple of years, I’ve really been getting into Korn. I kind of got into Korn a little bit later I guess. Slipknot, Lamb of God… you know, all the classic bands… the great metal bands. JP: I grew up loving Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails… Even some of the softer stuff like Radiohead and Portishead… but I always got drawn back into bands like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. So, here we are today doing what we love, Nu Metal! Andrew: Where do you think the music industry is headed? Bran: It’s hard to say. It’s changing at a faster pace than ever before, so it’s really kind of hard to predict what’s going on. I think that in the end the quality of music will speak for itself. So regardless if it’s gonna be only digital at some point… bands will continue touring. The sales might drop and people might find excuses or find ways to criticise or what not… that’s just a small problem to have… JP: I think the most important thing we can do is deliver a quality show and actually create value, from the bottom up. I think that labels and people that want to get involved with the industry now are gonna look to bands like Keychain, that are touring all over North America and the world (hopefully soon)... so that, they’re gonna want to take a piece of people wanting to come to shows and people wanting to buy merchandise and wanting to buy music. That’ll be where bands need to collect their strength in this day and age. Andrew: Outside of music, do you guys do anything hobby-wise? Cal: We like to hike and stuff like that. Don’t we Cody? We like to hike and stuff like that. We always go out looking for mountain lions and that kind of stuff. We’re adrenaline junkies. Cody: I like to enjoy the great outdoors… Cal: Mess around on the beach… Cause trouble wherever we go. Andrew: What does the term Nu Metal mean to you? Bran: It’s basically everything that we love and everything that we stand for. It’s a combination of styles and genres, we get different flavors in there so everyone’s happy. That’s pretty much what we’re all about. Andrew: It’s so cool because I love rap. I love guys that rap and JP is really good at it. Plus I love heavy music with tons of flow… and you got that so it’s all the best elements combined in one. Cal: This kind of music is so gripping in a live format as well. You can go and take this style of music anywhere in the world and you’ll get an instant reaction. It just translates so well. It’s just fun to play. Cody: And even if people are into classic rock or anything like that they seem to really like our music. It does touch all bases. Cal: It’s got a bounce to it. Andrew: If there was a dream gig, a show or tour or festival, what would it be or where would it be or what venue? Bran: Such a hard question, man. I think it would be… if they did another edition of the Family Values Tour… and if they had Korn, Slipknot, AND Limp Bizkit… Cody: AND KEYCHAIN! JP: If the Nu Metal resurgence was strong enough for people to build the movement again, that would be phenomenal. Add Deftones to that list and Linkin Park if they’re still down to do their old stuff… I totally agree. The Family Values Tour 2020 would be FIRE! Start a petition right now! Go online… Family Values Tour 2020! Keychain on the list! Let’s go! Andrew: Do you have any words for the up and coming artists or musicians? What would you tell them? Cal: Get on the road. Get touring as soon as you can. Cody: Yeah. Literally. JP: Great advice. Cal: If you want to do it and you want to make a career out of it, hit the road as soon as you can. JP: Test your metal. Because a lot of people have the dream… that’s a common thing now. If you want to stand out, hit the road. Totally agree with Cal. See if it’s something, if the lifestyle is something you can endure. Then start seeing if it’s worth investing every hour you have, every dollar you have… to compete. Cal: Don’t be afraid to go out there and take the risks. As soon as you go out there and start taking the risks, you realize how much a reward there is or how much of a margin of error there is… you just have to go out and do it. Andrew: It’s like you told me earlier, “own it”. Cal: You’ve got to own it. JP: Performance is it’s own reward. So set it up, make it happen. Andrew: It really is, and I’ve always told people that getting to go out and play music on the road is something that I’ve always dreamed of and getting paid for it would just be the bonus for me. Just being able to play and have people watching and going apeshit for what you’re doing… Cal: There’s so much value in the experience beyond monetary value. The people you meet and the experiences you have, really help build you towards being the best person you can be in many ways. Andrew: So is there anything coming up we need to know about? Albums, tours, etc.? Anything new? Bran: We’re working on all that stuff, 24-7. We’re gonna be touring in the states until the end of July and then we will have about a month, on and off more or less, with a few festivals here and there. We are going to do some pre-production for the upcoming full-length album and then we have some more shows later on this year… and then hopefully when we come back, before the amazing Canadian Winter kicks in, we will get in the studio and hopefully start tracking for a CD… so that should be pretty fun. Andrew: I gotta tell you, I’m really looking forward to “Freedom”. I’m really looking forward to that track. It’s powerful and uplifting. It makes you say “Yeah, I can!” Keychain: Thank you. My pleasure listening to it and just being around you guys, it’s amazing. Here’s a couple fun questions for you… Andrew: What would you say your power animal is? Bran: Me, I guess it would be a sloth? *Everyone agrees* Cody: I like Cheetahs, because their fast… and cool lookin’. Cal: I’m definitely a snake because I just like to lie around and eat. Lie in the sun and don’t move around too much. JP: Maybe a ram… they like to graze and they also like to charge. So I think it’s a combination of things right there… Andrew: What are some of your favorite foods? Bran: We like to eat. I guess we’re not really difficult… I like Serbian food, where I’m from… Cody: My mom’s home-cooked lasagna… JP: I like venison meat pie. Bran: Cal likes a cup of tea, right? *laughing* Cal: A cup of tea and a crumpet really… *laughing* Andrew: With the Queen? Cal: With the Queen, yeah! I’ve got ‘er on speed dial! JP: They all know each other right? *laughing* Cal: Exactly. Andrew: That’s his grandmother, who are you kidding? *laughing* Andrew: If you were on an island and you could take only one album? What would it be? Cal: Machine Head’s The Blackening. That’s a great record. Cody: Honestly, I’m gonna say the first Korn record. JP: I would say The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails. It’s a double album, so I get more tracks. And you know, different emotions… some are angry... when I’m gathering coconuts or hunting… marmots and stuff like that. Bran: I would probably take Iowa from Slipknot. Andrew: Those are all 4 great albums. I got one more question for you guys. I’m going to give you one of the dumbest questions that I can come up with. It’s Christmas time and you’re sitting on Santa’s lap. What’s one thing you’re gonna ask him for? Bran: I guess I would take a slightly more comfortable van or tour bus than we have right now. JP: I would love a world tour. If some institution was able to swoop in and say “You know what, you can open up for any of your idols and they’re going for a world tour and we want you guys to prep the crowd.” I really feel like that would be the best present from Santa. Cal: A personal chiropractor for the road. Or a dirt bike. One of the two. Cody: A million dollars. *laughs* ...so we can buy on tours. JP: If anyone is reading [listening] Keychain needs a million dollars… and all our dreams are gonna come true. Andrew: And a dirt bike! Cal: We should have all asked for a million dollars, then we’d have 4 million dollars. Well guys, I appreciate having you… let’s get ready for the next show!
